Welcome to two little steps, the home of gorgeous baby soft soles and kids shoes!

In this post I'd like to share a little bit about our story. I always love reading the story behind someone's business, what motivated them to take the big leap and start something of their own.

I started two little steps only a few weeks after the birth of my first daughter, Alana, and although I'm relatively new to e-commerce, I'm not new to business. I've been running businesses since 2007, firstly as a textile designer and printer and later as a online marketing and Facebook advertising strategist. You can find out more about that business here (if you're interested).

So why did I start two little steps?

Shortly after the birth of Alana I was craving to do something more creative and I started shopping around for cute baby products. There are tons of beautiful baby websites and as a shoe lover I somehow didn't quite find what I love. Not that there aren't any gorgeous shops, it just wasn't what I was drawn to. I'm of the belief that babies don't necessarily need shoes for walking, in fact, it's better for them to be barefoot but let's be realistic too because some of us live in climates where it's impossible. It's either too hot or too cold. Those little feet need to be protected and I'd rather do that with gorgeous leather shoes and sandals that are timeless and can be worn multiple times.

So two little steps was born!

I've had so much fun putting the first collection together for you and I hope that your little one will enjoy their first little kicks. I actually still have mine and they now sit proudly on display forever strong through making them hard in silver.

Maybe your little one will still have their first shoes in 35 years time.

Love,
Bianca & Alana
